Found a job part-time job on craigslist, If i would have turned it down I perhaps would not have met my new friend who will go nameless. Just so happened he had a piece of property for sale or lease that I would not have met him if I had not took that job... anyway! After we talked for a few days we met, the reason behind the meeting was we both have mutual interest in today`s world and current events especially with American youth. At our meeting I told him of my plans, how I wanted very badly to change our city (Jacksonville Fl) to make a positive difference. that the gift God gave me was, the gift of gab. I am very good at talking to people and love people. I knew of some ways that I could make a change. I could get some young men together, change some of their negative ideas, like how they make money, the cocaine/ drug game, dress-code, even sexuality on the level of making babies being an absent parent. We could rally together and show youngsters how to get off the weed, alcohol etc and so on, we could start a trickle down effect. So after a long discussion of about 5 hours....
He turns to me looks me straight in my face and says: "It sounds like an awesome plan/ idea" BUT?
do you really think the state or the government for that matter, wants the kids and teen girls and boys to stop having babies? Do you really think they want the young hispanic, white and black kids to stop killing each other?
Do you really think they want kids to get off drugs, tobacco and alcohol? Ask yourself, do you really think they want you all to really stay in school get educated or to not be on welfare? He says to me, first, drugs produce money and crime, crime also produces money. "Hey" this is what they want you to do, Be poor, on drugs and welfare. Think about this, there are Correctional Officers, Probation Officers, Child Detention Workers, Police, bail bondsmen, lawyers, judges, doctors, therapist, mental health counselors, foster parents, adoptive parents, day care centers and this list goes on and on.... THIS IS ABOUT REVENUE! I literally drop a tear or two because I know he was right and the blinding trickery its working. Right then I realized I am on the right track the track God chose for me!! I am on a mission people. SMH
